11/06/2019 - DAY 1

Today we have had the flight to Dublin.
We have arrived to Ireland's airport at 2 pm approximately and after the trip by plane, we got into a bus to finally be in Moate, a small town located in the centre of Ireland. There we had met our host family for this week in Éire: Peggie, Mairead and Aine.

              12/06/2019 - DAY 2

Today we went to the Cliffs of Moher.

Outwardly, this sea cliffs located at the outhwestern edge of the Burren region in County Clare are on of the most visited tourists attraction in Ireland. While the cliffs can be accessed at multiple points, and there is an 18 kilometres Cliff Walk, the majority of visitors come to the official visitor centre. There you can found a museum and also some shops to buy any souvenirs of this amazing experience.
In my opinion, the cliffs were very stirring. The views were not only incredible but also scary, because i'm afraid of heights.

               13/06/2019 - DAY 3

Today we went to Ireland's capital, Dublin.

When we arrived we saw some statues that commemorated immigrants who escaped of the great hunger that was lived in that country between 1845 and 1849. This statues can be found on the way to the ship Jeanie Johsnton.

Jeanie Johnston is a replica of a three mastedbarque that was originally built in Quebec, Canada, in 1847 by the Scottish-born shipbuilder John Munn.
The original, was sea ship who took many immigrants to different places in America.
One thing that makes it stand out among other ships was that she had no death on bord. That was because there was a previous medical checkup and also because there was a doctor abord.

Inside this boat happened a lot of things. One history which pass inside the Jeanie Johnston was a woman who gave birth on board and she was so thankful for the job that did all the crew that she named her son with all every single crew name that were on the ship.

In the afternoon we had some free time for lunch. After that we did an instagram challenge with our working group. You can find this challenge in our profile "eire2019group5_".

              14/06/2019 - DAY 4

Today we got up early in the morning to go Clonmacnoise, one of the most important monasteries in Ireland.

Clonmacnoise was founded in 544 by St. Ciarán, a young man from Rathcroghan.

The site includes the ruins of a cathedral, seven churches, two round towers, three high crosses and a large collection of Early Christian graveslabs.

After being in Clonmacnoise, we went to the busines college in Moate to have some time to work in our daily blogs and also the driving question.

In the afternoon we had some classes where we practised some Gaelic sports such as Gaelic football and hurling. We had a great time there.

At night, we went to see an Irish traditional music and dance concert. Also some of the students participated in, like me.

               15/06/2019 - DAY 5

Today we went back to Dublin to learn about the Easter Rising.
In the morning we went to the GPO (General Post Office). During the Easter Rising of 1916, the GPO served as the headquarters of the uprising's leaders. It was from outside this building on the 24th of April 1916, that Patrick Pearse read out the Proclamation of the Irish Republic.
The building was destroyed by fire in the course of the rebellion, save for the granite facade, and not rebuilt until 1929, by the Irish Free State government.
Nowadays, the GPO is now a museum where you can find information of the Easter Rising.

T
After being in the GPO we had some free time where me and my friends we went shoping.

In the afternoon, we had a walktour around Dublin. We visit the most important sites where the Easter Rising took place. The guide explained us some facts about this period. For example, he told us that even thought Trinity College was a British Base, students were still having classes and doing exams.
Another interesting fact was the Dublin Castle, the place where the first shots of the revolution were fired.

               16/06/2019 - DAY 6

Today we had to get up so early because we went to Galway. Galway "Cathair na Gaillimhe", is a city in the West of Ireland in the province of Connacht.
Galway lies on the River Corrib and is the sixth most populous city in Ireland.
In this city we made another instagram challenge where we had to take some pictures about important things about Galway. Also this Instagram Challenge can be found in our profile.

After this Challenge we had free time to do whatever we want. We enjoyed so much having this time alone.

At night, we had like a Disco for all of us.

              17/06/2019 - DAY 7

Today is the last day here in Ireland. It was sad to say good bye to our "mother" here in Ireland because we had pass a great time with her.

After saying good bye to our host family, we went to Dublin again. We visited the Guinness storehouse. We learnt about how they made this beer and also we made an activity about Guinness advertisment.

What I liked the most was the last floor of the building where you can see all the city while you are having some drink.

Later we have gone to Saint Patrick's Cathedral where we answered some questions that englishdeptthau asked us.

For having luch we went to the largest park in Europe. The park was so nice and calm.

At the end of lunch we went directly to the airport to take our flight home.

IRELAND FOR ME

This experience in Ireland have been a nice week where we made not only work but also some we have had a fun time with our mates.

This voyage has been quiete positive in general. But from my point of view, I think there are many thinhgs that can be improved.
To begin with, I think that it's unfair that since the fight that had happened 2 years ago, students we are not allow to go arround the town with our friends. Also I think that we had spent too much time in the bus.

However, I think is a great idea do some instagram challenges beacuse they encourage students to learn while they are doing it.
